Ji-ae (played by Kim Nam-ju), who dreamed of becoming a Cinderella, chose to marry medical student Moon Dal-su (played by Oh Ji-ho). Thinking she had picked her prince, she soon realized he was nothing but a fool, Dal-su. God gave Dal-su a sharp mind, but also endowed him with cowardice, timidity, and a petty character. Now, with her husband being an unemployed loafer, she had to dip into her savings, sell her wedding ring, ask for money from his family, cut off gatherings with her friends, and give up shopping and beauty treatments. She accepted the harsh reality that her dream of becoming a Cinderella had shattered. When she finally managed to secure a job for her husband, a shocking event occurred: her former lackey from school days reappeared as a true-life Cinderella. The tables had turned; now she had to bow down to her friend, but her resentful so-called friend showed no mercy and trampled on her self-respect without any restraint.
