Uninvited is a remake of the 2003 South Korean horror film "Rose and Resurrection" directed by Kim Ji-Woon, adapted by British brothers Thomas Guard and Charles Guard. In this DreamWorks production, British actress Elizabeth Banks plays the role of the stepmother, originally portrayed by Yeom Jeong-ah in the Korean version. The plot follows Anna (Emily Browning) and her sister Alex (Arielle Kebbel).
