Detailed Plot Introduction of "Rookie Report" (Young & Dangerous II):
After 27 weeks of police academy training, Lipton and Patto, along with other rookie officers, have finally graduated. The two new officers are assigned to the same team at the Yau Ma Tei district, becoming official police officers. Patto hopes to become an inspector as soon as possible in order to honor his late father and take good care of his grandfather. To advance quickly, Patto strictly adheres to the police regulations, handling everything by the book, seeking no mistakes rather than achievements.
Lipton, due to his much more impulsive nature compared to Patto, has a different definition of what makes a good police officer, thus employs different methods when dealing with situations.
Once, while on patrol, Patto stopped a group of troublemakers. Due to lack of experience, he was teased by the gang leader, James, leaving him unsure of how to handle the situation. Afterwards, James's subordinate, Silly Strong, filed a complaint, resulting in Patto having to undergo an internal police investigation. Patto is deeply troubled by this incident, fearing it will be recorded in his official record.
