Study finds salmon's heart stops beating for several seconds when spawning

Researchers from Hokkaido University in Japan have monitored that the salmon's heart stops beating for six or seven seconds when spawning by installing electrodes near the salmon's heart and small instruments that record heartbeat on its back.
