Some Fraud Accounts Exposed

On May 14, Chen Gang, who lives in Liaoning, received a text message that read: "The Red Cross has specially opened a Construction Bank account for donations to compatriots affected by the earthquake. Account number: 6227002930200016730, Account holder: Li Dongmei." Afterwards, he searched Baidu for "fundraising, Li Dongmei" and discovered that the name "Li Dongmei" was already prominently listed on well-known domestic forums such as Tianya, MOP (Catpaw) Community, and Chinese Community. A netizen named "Qingqing Ting Haifeng" posted an initiative in the "Social Hotspots" section of the Tianya Forum on the evening of May 14 —— "Let's find the people who are defrauding donations during the earthquake!" The initiative mentioned that he had received a fraudulent text message under the guise of fundraising, and the name of the scammer was "Li Dongmei."
