At 00:04 on the morning of May 17th, rescue personnel at the Hongbai Middle School site in Hongbai Town, Shifang discovered a survivor who had been trapped in the rubble for 106 hours. After about an hour of effort, the survivor was rescued around 1 a.m. and then sent to the Chengdu Military Region General Hospital of the Army for treatment.
