After a 7.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province on May 12, communications in the earthquake-hit areas were interrupted. Large numbers of people began to search online for video footages and pictures about the earthquake in Wenchuan. However, some hackers with evil intentions have taken the opportunity to spread Trojan viruses by wantonly publishing poisonous links named as video footages about the conditions of the earthquake-hit areas. Once users who do not know the truth click these relevant links, their computers will be infected by viruses immediately. In minor cases, the computer systems will be severely damaged. In serious cases, the computers will be remotely controlled by others, and all confidential information in the computers will be subject to the danger of being stolen at any time.
