A 16-year-old boy named Sam Cunningham from Wigan, England, was retrieving a runaway rugby ball from a railway bridge nearby when he suffered a 25000-volt electric shock on the bridge. Sam was thrown 7.5 meters away and fell onto the rails beneath the bridge. All his clothes were destroyed in the accident and smoke kept rising from his body. However, unexpectedly, Sam survived this disaster and even made a phone call to tell his mother that he was "safe". Medical experts said that what had happened to Sam was simply an incredible miracle.
