"The NanCun ChuoGeng Lu" was written by Tao Zongyi of the Yuan Dynasty. Most of the records in it are historical anecdotes and notes, mainly from the Yuan Dynasty, followed by the Song Dynasty, with a few traced back further. These records are either what Tao Zongyi personally witnessed or heard, or excerpts from previous historical materials used for authentication and identification of forgery.
