Shanghai's Century-Long Qipao Exhibition Opens, "Soong Ching-ling's Qipao" on First-Time Display

Today (August 15), an exhibition of "100 years of qipao" will open at the Shanghai Art Museum. All the hundred qipaos exhibited are physical objects handed down from generation to generation, and more than half of them were collected by Zhou Xun, a Chinese costume history expert, and researcher Gao Chunming of the Shanghai Academy of Arts after 30 years of efforts. The Shanghai History Museum and the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling House Memorial Hall also provided more than ten extremely characteristic qipao collections in the museum, among which the qipao worn by Mrs. Soong Ching Ling in her lifetime is displayed in Shanghai for the first time.
