The residents were shocked and indignant at the misfortune of A Hua, a pregnant female cat which lived in the green belt under a building in No. 11 Shangnan Village, Pudong. At 8 p.m. on April 1, A Hua was sent to a nearby pet clinic by a mother and daughter who often fed it. The veterinarian who treated it believed that someone had committed an *** act on the cat, resulting in the death of the fetuses in its belly. In order to sustain its life, the cat's uterus and ovaries must be surgically removed. However, due to its severe injuries, the clinic could only regrettably choose euthanasia for it. Many residents expressed their indignation at A Hua's misfortune.
