Ukrainian woman bares breasts on the streets of Paris. Is the裸chest a protest or a temptation?

The feminist group "FEMEN" has gained a certain level of notoriety in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The members of this group have a variety of protest methods; either sending representatives to confront police on the streets or wearing minimal clothing to express their dissatisfaction. In Ukraine, FEMEN has become an example for demonstrators.

On October 31st, members of the Ukrainian feminist group FEMEN appeared in Paris, France, protesting against political figures abusing their power to involve themselves with women and calling for female solidarity and self-protection. This was their first time advocating in a continental European country, aiming to make more people understand their opposition to the sex tourism industry.

Three young female members of FEMEN chose to protest in front of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's apartment in Paris. They held buckets and rags, dressed as waitresses, performing street theater, satirizing Strauss-Kahn's alleged sexual assault on a hotel maid in New York, which ended with his acquittal. After shouting slogans, they pulled down their tops, baring their chests and holding signs that read "Power corrupts the mind," and "Your shame can never be washed away," protesting powerful men's arbitrary involvement with women, and calling for female solidarity to stand up for women's rights.

In the run-up to the UEFA European Football Championship co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland, FEMEN intended to expand public awareness, opposing individuals who use the football tournament as an opportunity to promote sex tourism in Ukraine. They hope to spread this message across various European countries. In Ukraine, FEMEN's bare-chested protests are usually stopped by the police, but France is more tolerant towards bare-chested individuals, so FEMEN's activities were not hindered.

Although the starting point of this feminist group is good, such radical methods of protest not only fail to achieve the intended purpose, but their actions themselves are not respectful towards women's rights. I can only say that using bare chests to call for female solidarity and self-protection is extremely creative.
