1950s: The rumor that "cutting eggs" can make atomic bombs swept across tens of millions of people

In the early 1950s, the rumors of "egg cutting" and "Mao monster" once caused partial panic. The two rumors had strong political colors and directly pointed at the government. The deliberate distortion and enticement of lawless elements accelerated the spread of the rumors and expanded their influence.
