FAMI通 announces the Japan software and hardware sales rankings from November 21 to 27.

Japanese Famitsu magazine has released the ranking of Japanese game software and hardware sales for January 21-27, 2008, for players' reference.

In terms of game sales, the top 10 games sold a total of 408,000 copies last week, slightly higher than the previous week's 371,000 copies. The platforms represented in the top 10 include 3 games each for Wii, PSP, and NDS, and 1 game for PS2. Among these, there were 3 new releases that week.

The game "Wii Fit" remained at the top of the rankings for the third consecutive week, selling over 100,000 copies each week. The newly released "World Soccer Competition 2008 Full Online Edition", "Lucky Star ~Ryoou Gakuin Sakuramizuki-sai~", and "Holy Sword Alliance" ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 7th respectively. "Doraemon Super Baseball Extravaganza", which resolved its supply shortage issue, returned to 8th place.

In terms of console sales, there is still a continuous downward trend after the year-end sales peak. A total of 258,000 units were sold across 6 consoles, lower than the previous week's 321,000 units. No console sold more than 100,000 units, with the highest being Wii at 79,000 units, followed by NDS at 74,000 units, PSP at 61,000 units, PS3 at 29,000 units, PS2 at 11,000 units, and Xbox 360 at 4,200 units.

Additionally, according to Famitsu's statistics, Nintendo's Wii console cumulative sales in Japan surpassed 5 million units on January 20, reaching around 5.02 million units. This impressive achievement was reached within approximately one year of its release. The top 5 best-selling Wii games in Japan are all from Nintendo, with "Wii Sports" taking the crown with cumulative sales of 2.66 million copies, followed by "Wii Play" with 2.13 million, "Mario Party 8" with 1.15 million, "Wii Fit" with 1.11 million, and "Super Mario Galaxy" with 0.84 million.
