Nintendo will further increase its investment in Wii game development while reducing the size of the NDS game development team. This news was announced by Nintendo senior executive Jinyou Mori at a press conference in Tokyo.

At the recent press conference, Jinyou Mori officially confirmed on behalf of Nintendo that the company is gradually expanding the lineup of the Wii game development team and increasing investment in development. In contrast, the scale of the NDS game development team will be further reduced, with a corresponding decrease in quantity as well.

Jinyou Mori told the media that over the past few years, Nintendo's NDS game development team has performed exceptionally well and launched many successful titles. Even though the company's overall investment focus is now shifting towards Wii game development, several key NDS game development groups under Nintendo will still be dedicated to NDS game production.

In fact, given the enormous success of the Wii worldwide, most of the highly acclaimed games have come from Nintendo itself. To continue the hard-earned popularity of the Wii, high-quality first-party games are clearly the project that Nintendo needs to strengthen significantly.
