Czech archaeologists recently opened an ancient tomb in Egypt that dates back 4,500 years and is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries in nearly half a century. According to research, the tomb's owner was a priest and government official at the time. People in such positions held considerable social status in today’s terms, yet the tomb itself was extremely simple. There were no lavish offerings or elaborate decorations. The excavation and study of a series of tombs belonging to the middle class of ancient Egypt reveal changes in the societal structure of the dynasty during that period.
