HG 1/144 RX-78-2 G30th x ANA Electroplated Special Edition

This chrome-plated version of the RX-78-2 is one of the more outstanding special editions from BANDAI in recent years. The entire body is made up of two types of blue plating, black chrome, and white plating (the same as the white plating on the previous MG 2.0 RX-78-2 Titanium Special Edition). It also comes with an ANA (All Nippon Airways) sticker. The plating effect and color matching are both excellent, but there is one flaw: the sprue marks on the original HG RX-78-2 G30th Edition are not hidden as well as they are in the MG version. Additionally, since the white parts of the model have been chrome-plated, the sprue marks are very noticeable and reveal the base resin color. Initially, I planned to ignore the sprue marks, but they were too obvious, so I ended up applying a bit of paint to reduce their visibility.
