In just four days, the phrase "temporary rape" frequently appeared on major online forums, becoming yet another internet buzzword following terms like "hide and seek," "push-ups," and "70 meters." Over these four days, with the enthusiastic participation of netizens, the phrase "temporary rape" has given rise to new grammatical structures such as "temporary waterlogging" and "temporary bathroom visits," following the pattern of "temporary + verb." Some netizens predict that "temporary rape" will become the first internet buzzword of 2009.
Netizen "Yidaguotang" raised their doubts: "Temporary is just a smokescreen to deflect attention. The key issue is: does 2-on-1 count as rape or gang rape? There's a big difference there, isn't there?"

Case Review of Temporary Rape:
According to China News Service (reported by Janeyoung.cn on October 29), two auxiliary police officers disregarded the law they were supposed to uphold and took advantage of a woman who was unconscious due to intoxication in a hotel room, ultimately facing moral and legal retribution. Today, the Nanxun Court of Huzhou, Zhejiang, handed down its first-instance verdict, sentencing the two defendants to three years in prison each.
On the evening of June 10, 2009, auxiliary police officers Qiu and Cai took newly graduated high school students Chen and Shen out for dinner after their college entrance exams. During the meal, all four drank heavily, and Chen became so intoxicated that she lost consciousness by the end of the dinner. In an attempt to sober her up, Cai drove his Hyundai car to a hotel in Lianshi to book a room. Once inside the room, taking advantage of Chen's unconscious state and inability to resist, the two men forcibly had sexual intercourse with her in turn. When Chen regained consciousness, she found herself lying naked from the waist down on a hotel bed.
Based on the criminal facts, considering that the act was a spontaneous crime without prior planning, and that the two men turned themselves in afterward and obtained the victim's forgiveness, the Nanxun Court sentenced both defendants to three years in prison. As law enforcement officers who disregarded the law, they ultimately faced the consequences of their actions.
