At 23:45 on the evening of August 27 in Beijing time, actor Cheng Kui'an (also known as Da Shua), who had previously been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, passed away at Hong Kong Baptist Hospital at the age of 54. Many family members and friends were by his side during his final moments, including his youngest son and singer Alan Tam. Major media outlets have already rushed to the hospital.

Cheng Kui'an, nicknamed "Da Shua," was an original resident of Nam Wai in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. He was an actor in films and TV dramas, known for his tall stature and talent for playing villainous gangster roles. Cheng dropped out of school at the age of 13 and once worked as a thug. In 1978, he was discovered by Stephen Chow Lee and began acting in films. Cheng once ran for election in the Hong Kong District Council and became one of the candidates in Sai Kung District, but ultimately lost. In recent years, he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
