Keiko Nakama plays the role of a carefree freelance writer named Kimiko. In pursuit of her dream urban lifestyle, she spares no effort in taking on arduous interview and writing assignments, all for the sake of living in Odaiba with her newlywed husband, Jisaburo Ishizaka (played by Sho Koyanagi).
Originally, Kimiko thought their wedding would be a simple ceremony for just the two of them. However, Jisaburo mentioned that his parents wanted to host a small banquet for them, which would only include close family and friends. Believing this, Kimiko went along without worry, only to discover that Jisaburo's family seemed more like a prominent household. Moreover, after returning home, Jisaburo became a completely different person—his formerly laid-back attitude suddenly transformed into one of seriousness and diligence, leaving Kimiko astonished.
Even more surprising was when Jisaburo made up stories about Kimiko, leading everyone to mistakenly believe that she was an accomplished woman skilled in literature, cooking, flower arrangement, and traditional Japanese dance. With Jisaburo's mother, Shizuko (played by Keiko Matsuzaka), expecting Kimiko to showcase her talents, Kimiko found herself overwhelmed and flustered. In the end, unable to bear it any longer, she finally declared her intention to divorce Jisaburo...
