At 3 pm yesterday afternoon, a student from outside Nanjing suddenly took off all his clothes near Xin Zhuang Street in Nanjing. He calmly and quickly "streaked" for about 3 kilometers until he was stopped by policemen and nearby residents who had heard the news near Hongshan Road. A warm-hearted resident handed him a piece of clothing to put on. The streaking student claimed he was only 18 years old and did this because of the immense study pressure recently; he wanted to "release" it.
Mr. Yao, an eyewitness, said that at around 3 pm, this male student with a northern Jiangsu accent walked to Hongshan Road when he suddenly hugged his head as if it hurt and swelled. Then, he actually rammed his head against the roadside tree several times. After that, a big lump rose on his head, but he still felt uncomfortable. Regardless of the public's stares on the main road, he shamelessly took off all his clothes and started walking on the street, faster and faster, and then began running. Faced with the astonished passers-by, he casually said, "It feels great!" Witnesses told reporters that it seemed like this kid ignored the people around him, just ran by himself, and some people who wanted to chase after him to ask questions couldn't keep up.
When the reporter arrived at the scene, there were many shops along the road from Hongshan Road to Xin Zhuang. Under everyone's shocked gaze, the boy would sometimes run fast and other times stop to walk. Female passers-by encountered along the way were all scared and covered their faces to escape. Two young women waiting for the bus stood awkwardly on the platform, one of them even stomping her feet out of anxiety, but the boy completely ignored them and ran forward as if no one else was there. When questioned by the reporter, the boy said he was a senior high school student from a place in northern Jiangsu. He would soon face the college entrance exam and felt unable to relieve the pressure, so he slipped away to Nanjing to relax. Yesterday afternoon, when he walked near Xin Zhuang, he felt an intense headache and swelling. After hitting the tree, he still didn't feel relieved, so he took off his clothes and started streaking quickly. Suddenly, he felt very relaxed and unconsciously ran nearly 3 kilometers. However, when the reporter continued to inquire, he was unwilling to disclose any more information.
