At around 1 PM yesterday afternoon, after getting off the bus at the Wuchang Yamao Station, citizen Ms. Li walked alone towards Shipayaling. When she reached near the New Oriental School, a male youth of about 20 years old quickly ran up from behind. In the very moment they passed each other, the youth suddenly grabbed a silver-white necklace on Ms. Li's neck, broke it violently and then dashed away.
The robbed necklace was imitation platinum, bought by Ms. Li a few days ago for more than 20 yuan at a roadside night market. It was made to look extremely realistic. Faced with this sudden accident, Ms. Li was so shocked that she couldn't react for a while. Considering that the necklace wasn't worth much money and fearing to get into more trouble, Ms. Li did not chase after him or shout for help. Instead, she hurried home.
What Ms. Li had never expected was that not long after she had walked a short distance, the male youth who had robbed her necklace actually returned, threw the necklace on the ground, and said fiercely: "Damn, you even wear fake jewelry, making me waste my effort for nothing." Then he slapped her hard across the face and walked away.
Many passers-by nearby witnessed this scene but didn't know what had happened and thus did not step forward to stop the youth. Looking at her broken necklace on the ground and thinking about the arrogance of the thug, Ms. Li burst into tears immediately. (Reported by Yan Peng, communicated by Ying Hongjie)
