Personally, I think Episode Eight is truly an excellent one. Whether it's the tightness of the plot or various developments that are both expected and unexpected, they are all done exceptionally well.
Firstly, after Ijin stabs Jasmine (with glass?), she exhibits signs of brainwashing and mental confusion. This should be due to Aoi’s use of the Yaku clan's ability to make Ijin forget Jasmine. However, Jasmine seemed to have underestimated Ijin's level of obsession with her. In the end, Ijin still recalls the past events involving Jasmine. Seeing Ijin in great pain over Jasmine, Aoi finally succumbs to darkness, deciding to completely eradicate Jasmine’s existence... (Dark transformation is great; there’s always someone who turns dark in every story... "Cicada Cry" pioneered this trend of dark transformations~)
