Zhao Benshan's accomplished disciple, famous Er Ren Zhuan actor Wang Xiaoli (the actor who plays the role of Liu Neng) has recently released a new single titled "Brother Neng". Unlike his previous works, Wang Xiaoli has made his first attempt at rock music style. His passionate singing conveys gratitude to his audience.
"Brother Neng" was created by Wang Xiaoli's senior apprentice Tang Chao. Tang Chao is also a disciple under Zhao Benshan and successfully held his first personal concert in May this year, which received an overwhelming response. In this collaboration with Wang Xiaoli, Tang Chao took full charge of the lyrics and composition creation. Wang Xiaoli expressed: "My major is as an Er Ren Zhuan actor, and my previous singing was out of necessity for stage performances. Wang Xiaoli has appeared in the rural romance TV series, where his portrayal of the character Liu Neng left a deep impression on many viewers and was widely loved. In the 2010 Spring Festival Gala, he performed "Donation" alongside his master Zhao Benshan, his junior apprentice Xiao Xiaoyang, and Yu Yang. His simple yet humorous stage performance became one of the highlights of the gala.
