Synopsis:

Lincoln (Denzel Washington), due to an accident during his duty, became paralyzed all over his body. He was once a renowned detective who solved countless cases, but since becoming paralyzed, he has isolated himself from the world. This time, he is invited by the New York police to help with a mysterious murder case. Initially, Lincoln refuses the invitation, but after seeing the details of the case, he becomes emotionally invested.

Recently in New York, there have been mysterious dismemberment murders. The killer deliberately leaves evidence behind to challenge the police. Patrol officer Amelia (Angelina Jolie) discovers a dismembered body during her last patrol. When she makes a series of bold speculations, her colleagues refuse to pay attention to her, thinking she's just an ordinary patrol officer.

However, Amelia’s sensitivity and bravery are appreciated by Lincoln. He requests to work with this rookie to break the case. Their cooperation turns out to be unexpectedly pleasant as they gradually understand that the killer has a violent tendency and meticulously plans before each murder. Will their teamwork successfully capture this deranged murderer?
