Synopsis:
During World War II, the first detachment of a British bombing squadron was on a mission codenamed "Bifteck and Chips" when one of their aircraft was hit by German anti-aircraft weapons. Several crew members were forced to parachute out and agreed to meet at a Turkish bath. However, they landed in different locations across Paris, the capital of France, which was occupied by the Germans.
The Germans launched a city-wide manhunt. Among the downed pilots, three were rescued separately by a painter, a zookeeper, and a band conductor. Due to the circumstances, the painter and the conductor had no choice but to impersonate the pilots they saved and meet the bearded captain at the Turkish bath. After several misunderstandings, they finally managed to connect.
Under the cover provided by the passionate French citizens of Paris, the pilots engaged in a series of thrilling yet humorously absurd games of survival against the German forces. In the end, the painter, the band conductor, and the pilots all flew together to neutral Switzerland.
