Synopsis:
He is a Tramp (Charlie Chaplin), penniless, who encounters a blind flower girl and cannot bear to walk away. He tries every possible way to gather the money needed for her medical treatment. One day, he rescues a wealthy man, who that night treats him like a brother, but the next morning pretends not to know him at all. The plan to ask the rich man for help fails. The tramp enters a boxing match to win the prize money but loses miserably. Unexpectedly, he meets the rich man again, and the two reconcile their differences. The rich man agrees to fund the flower girl's treatment. However, the thousand dollars is stolen by a robber. The tramp risks his life to recover the money, allowing the flower girl to regain her sight, while he himself is arrested due to a misunderstanding. After being released from prison, he unexpectedly reunites with the flower girl, who recognizes him...
