Synopsis:

Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) is one of the hottest designers in New York. The young and beautiful Melanie has many admirers, including prominent figures like Andrew, New York's most famous bachelor and the mayor's son. Despite being engaged to Andrew, Melanie has rejected his extravagant marriage proposals three times in a row, leaving everyone puzzled.

In fact, Melanie has her own troubles: Originally an ordinary girl from Alabama, she had already married a simple young man from the area. However, Melanie was not content with the mundane life in the small town. A few years ago, she came to New York alone to make a name for herself. In order to return to New York and start a new life with Andrew, she must go back to her hometown to finalize her divorce.

Melanie returns to her hometown with a sense of superiority, revisiting the place she once looked down upon. It is only then that she suddenly realizes that she has never truly changed — this is where she belongs!
