Synopsis:

After three years in prison, Tommy (Tim Allen) is finally free again. Thanks to his sister Vicki’s (Sigourney Weaver) unwavering support, Tommy has found a place where he can settle down in this cold and cruel world. However, Vicki's husband Jeff (Ray Liotta) isn't exactly thrilled about Tommy's return, but Tommy believes that time will prove his reform.

What troubles Tommy most is actually his grandmother. His family has kept the fact that Tommy went to prison from her, and this makes the old lady very upset about not hearing from Tommy for three years. The freedom he longed for is now within reach, yet Tommy realizes that reality isn’t as beautiful as he imagined. Faced with numerous pressures, can Tommy successfully adapt to his new life?
