Synopsis:
The Duval family is a household of five living in the suburbs of a French city. Robert (Jacques Gamblin), a taxi driver, and his wife Marie-Jeanne (Zabou Breitman) are raising their three children together. The eldest son Albert (Pio Marmaï) left home years ago to forge his own path; the second son Raphaël (Marc-André Grondin) is a laid-back youth who seems indifferent to everything; the youngest daughter Flor (Déborah François) has transformed from a well-behaved girl into a rebellious teenager, whose defiance often upsets her mother. Albert's departure left Marie heartbroken, leading her to pursue education and strive for her own dreams. As time passes, each member of the family—parents, children, siblings—has their own concerns, yet something seems to be pulling them further apart…
This film won three awards at the 2009 César Awards: Best Editing, Best New Actor (Marc-André Grondin), and Best New Actress (Déborah François).
