Synopsis:

After the death of his daughter in a car accident, Detective Kim Seong-ryeol (Cha Seung-won), filled with guilt, tries endlessly to please his wife Ji-yeon (Song Yoon-ah). However, he is unable to change her cold and distant attitude towards him. At the scene of a murder case, Kim Seong-ryeol accidentally discovers his wife's lost earring and a button. Recalling her abnormal behavior the previous night, Kim Seong-ryeol suspects that his wife might be involved in the murder. Consequently, he secretly steals those pieces of evidence left at the crime scene and coerces witnesses not to reveal that they saw his wife at the crime scene. Meanwhile, the head of a gangster group, Cho Gwang-chul, who seeks revenge for his younger brother, vows to make the murderer pay blood for blood. Moreover, two years ago, an officer named Chan-soo was suspended due to Kim Seong-ryeol’s testimony but has now returned to the police station to investigate this case. Yet, his wife shows little concern about this precarious situation. Watching as the truth seems to gradually come to light, Kim Seong-ryeol decides that no matter what, he must protect his wife…

This film is claimed to be the second chapter of the "Saving Quartet": under the name of suspense, it interprets everyday matters of couples, and is director Yoon Jae-kyoo's follow-up work after "Seven Days," another thriller full of suspense.
