Synopsis:

Everything started with an unexpected meteor shower, where four small spacecrafts were mixed among the burning hot meteors. Suddenly, under a mysterious force, the meteors changed their direction and made a right turn. It seemed that their destination was a nearby blue sphere - Earth.

In Michigan, there is a quiet and comfortable family. Mr. Stuart Pearson and his wife Nina live there. They have three children: seven-year-old Hannah, fifteen-year-old Tom, and their elder sister Bithenay who has just fallen in love for the first time. The whole family decided to relax; they planned to go out and play for a few days. They packed their belongings and came to a vacation cabin in Maine. Joining them were Uncle Nate, his son Jack, dear Aunt Nana Rose, and twins Art and Rye. However, Bithenay's boyfriend Rich showed up uninvited, making the entire travel group quite large.

In the evening, a strange cloud surrounded the vacation cabin, with lightning flashing and thunder roaring. Suddenly, four strange objects landed directly on the roof. Then, four aliens descended from the spaceship. They are the ship's technician Skip, the fearless captain Tesseract, muscle man Riser, and the only female member Sparks. These alien beings come from a distant planet - Zirkonians. Their superpower is to use advanced technology to control human minds. Careless Rich unfortunately got controlled by the aliens and became part of the "pseudo-army."

With Rich's help, the aliens captured several children, but Tom and Jack managed to escape. Soon after, these children discovered that the aliens' mind control only worked on adults, not on children. This fact gave the five children a chance to fight against these unwelcome guests. They used their wits to create many bizarre "toy weapons" and fought against the aliens. The unaware adults had no idea what happened; they still thought kids were kids, always playing around.

At this point, a touching friendship developed between Hannah and Sparks. As the only female, Sparks had no interest in fighting; she just wanted to go home. This alien with four arms and four hands was soft-hearted and peace-loving inside. Through her friendship with the children, she gradually hoped to end the war with her own efforts. Thus, she joined the human side and fought alongside the children.

The battle continued, and laughter echoed. Perhaps these aliens didn't come to destroy the Earth; they might just be messengers...

Behind the Scenes:

The main screenwriter of this film, Mark Burton, successfully wrote the screenplay for "Chicken Run." According to himself, imagination is always the most important thing in his creations. This film also proves this point with its imaginative plot. However, the original inspiration for this film actually came from real life. Mark Burton said he often gathered with his neighbors at home, where adults drank tea and chatted in the yard while the children played upstairs. Often when the adults went to look for the children, they were already having a fierce battle. One day, as Mark Burton watched the shaking floor upstairs caused by the children's play, he thought if the children weren't playing games but were actually involved in a real war, while the adults remained completely unaware downstairs, it would certainly be an interesting story. Thus, this film was born.

After coming up with the idea, the specific creation began. One of the more difficult steps was to isolate the adults from this war. Mark Burton spent a lot of brainpower on this, finally conceiving a brainwave controller. The aliens could use it to control human thoughts, but this device did not work on minors. This way, it made sense for the children to take on the responsibility naturally.

Subsequently, Burton invited Adam Goldberg to refine the script together. Afterward, their script was picked up by producers who always favored fantasy topics...
