Synopsis:

In a future world, due to the painful loss of his beloved son, the brilliant scientist Dr. Tenma (voiced by Nicolas Cage) creates the robotic boy Astro Boy (voiced by Freddie Highmore) as a replacement for his son, seeking solace. Although Astro Boy possesses the emotions and memories of Dr. Tenma's son, and advanced programming continues to refine his emotional responses, making him empathetic, the doctor is unable to come to terms with his loss and cannot treat Astro Boy properly, eventually abandoning him because he is not human. Astro Boy becomes a homeless wanderer, constantly pursued by the military, and is ultimately captured. The military demands that Dr. Tenma remove Astro Boy's power source to convert him into an energy supply for military robots. At the last moment, Dr. Tenma has a change of heart and helps Astro Boy escape. Faced with the relentless pursuit of the military, Astro Boy fights back, leading to an epic showdown. Throughout his journey, Astro Boy grows, accepting his design as a fusion of machine and human, and takes on the responsibility of humanity's survival.
