Directed by Jiang Qinmin, known as the "top director of Sino-Japanese co-productions," and starring outstanding actors from mainland China, Japan, and Taiwan, the idol tearjerker film *First Time in Tokyo* has released its latest conceptual poster. With the bustling night view of Tokyo as its backdrop and the Tokyo Tower standing tall within it, cherry blossom petals fall gently, seemingly setting a melancholic yet beautiful tone for the movie. Meanwhile, the single blooming cherry blossom at the center of the poster conveys the vibrant passion of youth. As stated on the poster, this will be a memorable encounter and a sorrowful confrontation.

*First Time in Tokyo* tells the story of Ji Liu, a young Chinese Go player who arrives in Tokyo to study. Faced with various setbacks in life, he falls into a state of confusion and despair. On a train to Chiba, he encounters Mrs. Igarashi, an elderly woman carrying vegetables into the city, leading to a strange yet transformative meeting. From this point on, his life enters a different circle. He becomes entangled in complex relationships with Mrs. Igarashi's grandson Shoichi, Shoichi's girlfriend Chanae, and Naito Kami, the front desk attendant at a capsule hotel—a web of connections that are difficult to sever but impossible to ignore.
