Romancing in Thin Air II (2012) Movie Summary: Michael, a superstar from Greater China (played by Louis Koo), is set to marry a famous domestic actress, Yuan Yuan, on the day of their grand wedding. However, their plans are thwarted when a miner (played by Baoqiang Wang) successfully intervenes and takes Yuan Yuan as his own! Heartbroken, Michael turns to alcohol for solace and mistakenly boards a small truck driven by Axiu. He is taken to a small inn located at an altitude of 3,800 meters in Shangri-La.

Axiu, the owner of the inn, kindly offers Michael refuge during his time of despair. Michael unexpectedly discovers that Axiu was once his devoted fan, which had even contributed to her meeting her husband, Xiaotian (played by Guangjie Li). However, Xiaotian went missing eight years ago in the "White Mang Forest" near the inn, and his fate remains unknown.

Year after year, before the snowstorm arrives, the mountain search team comes again to look for Xiaotian, but Axiu's hopes are dashed once more. Overwhelmed with despair, Axiu attempts to commit suicide by jumping into the forest. Michael rescues her without hesitation, takes good care of her, and encourages her to let go of Xiaotian. Touched by his kindness, a romance gradually blossoms between them. Just as Axiu decides to pursue happiness with Michael, news about Xiaotian suddenly resurfaces...
