Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011) Movie Summary: In the dead of night, a fleeting figure appears by a farm in the countryside... It's Martha (Elizabeth Olsen), who has been away from home for a very long time. One day, her anxious sister Lucy (Sarah Paulson) finally receives her phone call. Martha tells her where she is and hopes that Lucy can come and take her home. Overjoyed and surprised, Lucy brings her sister back home, but Martha remains silent at first. Gradually, she begins to recount her experiences during the tranquil family life.

It turns out that she was lured into a cult and brainwashed by its leader Patrick (John Hawkes). She eventually managed to escape the control of the cult with great difficulty.
