This week, the First Film website's [Horror Smorgasbord] will take you through a list of fairy tale-based horror movies, looking at those fairy tales that have been violated, as well as our constantly ruined childhoods!

The beautiful young Valerie (played by Amanda) has come of marriageable age, and her family has betrothed her to Henry, the son of a wealthy family in the village. However, Valerie truly loves Peter, the woodcutter she has known since childhood. In pursuit of true love, Valerie and Peter decide to elope. The villagers' long-standing resentment finally erupts at this moment, and they decide to eliminate the werewolf threatening the villagers. After a brutal battle, the villagers kill a giant wolf in a cave. However, the giant wolf in the cave is not the legendary werewolf; the real werewolf has actually been hiding among the villagers all along...
