GK's famous film producer Graham King (The Aviator, Blood Diamond, Gangs of New York), in a recent interview, stated that the new Tomb Raider movie will be very different. "We are going to shoot a prequel of Tomb Raider. I want to try and reinvent this series," he said. "The box office of the previous movie wasn't bad either, but what interests me is that the story of this movie we're about to shoot tells the story of the female protagonist before she becomes Lara Croft, so I think it's more like a prequel," he added.

"Besides having many unique characters, this movie still has plenty of action scenes and it will be fun. But for me, this is a very special movie. I've never done a movie like this before. I tend to reinvent this series, and I'm quite willing to give it a try."

Previously, GK mentioned that the new Tomb Raider movie would create an all-new adventure for a young, energetic Lara Croft and reveal the origins of the Croft family.

Currently, no official announcement has been made regarding which actors will participate in the new movie, but we know that Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, the screenwriters of Iron Man, will jointly write the screenplay.

After Angelina Jolie, who will take over as the young Lara? We probably won't have to wait too long to find out.
