After learning about her husband's infidelity, housewife Mi-Kyung finds her life to be as tasteless as chewing wax. She moves to a new home, hoping to forget the pain, but ends up suffering from constant headaches and nightmares until one day when she meets Dr. In-Gyu in a seaside village.

In-Gyu is a laid-back country doctor who, despite being married, never misses an opportunity to spend his dull days with women and indulges in chaotic sensual pleasures - that is, until he meets Mi-Kyung.

In-Gyu spares no effort in winning Mi-Kyung's affection and eventually completely possesses her. Mi-Kyung feels that her pain has been soothed by In-Gyu and believes she has found her home. However, on the day before Christmas, a woman in red suddenly visits and tells Mi-Kyung: "Your lover, he's my husband..."
