The movie Gangla Meiduo tells the story of a Tibetan girl who is about to become a bride and becomes a household singer because she sings a traditional folk song "Gangla Meiduo" in a magical and ethereal way, and coincidentally, Gangla Meiduo is her own name. However, she disappeared on her wedding night.
Sixty years later, a Han female singer, An Yu, made this song popular again, but she suddenly lost her voice during a performance and then disappeared as well. The voiceless An Yu was guided by a mysterious voice in her dream and went alone to Lake Namtso to find the source of the voice. On the way, An Yu met Aza, a Tibetan musician. Aza had once vowed to buy the "Gangla Meiduo" bar in Lhasa because it was where his grandfather first met his beloved, Gangla Meiduo. His grandfather painted a portrait of this girl, which has now been passed down to Aza, and he wants to hang it on the bar's wall.
