John Rambo, 20 years later, has lost his former vitality. He is far away from his home, retreated to a small village in northern Thailand, and barely makes a living by running a ferry business on the Salween River... In fact, Rambo needs to do much more than just delivering people or goods to the other side of the river. Because the area near the border between Thailand and Myanmar is still suffering from the ravages of war. The civil war between the Burmese and the Karen people has lasted for more than 60 years without any sign of stopping, so some areas are even off-limits for Rambo.
