Plot Introduction of the Movie "Changjiang 7"

Stephen Chow plays a down-on-his-luck father in the movie, living with his son in an old house by the side of a major road in Ningbo. In order to provide his son with a better life, Chow is forced to work at a construction site, but unfortunately encounters the tragic treatment of wage arrears for migrant workers - not only does he not receive his salary, but he also gets chased and beaten by the foreman for "causing trouble". Despite his pitiful state, Father Zhou can't afford toys worth hundreds of yuan for his son, yet he can't bear to give up. By chance, he finds something strange in a garbage pile. Stephen Chow is very happy and plans to give this thing as a toy to his son. Unexpectedly, this toy turns out to be a communicator used to contact aliens. Using this communicator, Chow's family somehow contacts a beautiful alien who is deeply moved by their unwavering father-son relationship. Not only does the alien help them severely punish the rich kids who bully his son at school, but also punishes the contractor Lin Zicong who withholds wages and beats up Stephen Chow...

Behind-the-scenes Production of the Movie "Changjiang 7"

Character Costumes on the Shooting Site

Stephen Chow's costume: A pair of worn-out liberation shoes, a dark blue overalls that looks like it hasn't been washed for a long time, plus a wrinkled gray suit, with some gray hair and beard.

Stephen Chow's son's costume: The little "Stephen Chow" wears a pair of oversized leather shoes that are already cracked. On the set, he is lively and active, displaying boyish characteristics. Actually, the "son" in the movie is played by a girl in reverse roles. This "little Stephen Chow" not only looks similar, but even has a quirky temperament like Stephen Chow.

Stephen Chow's "Secret Weapon"

In the movie, Stephen Chow, as usual, both directs and acts. On the shooting site, whether it's the positioning before shooting or reviewing after shooting, Stephen Chow personally handles everything. Despite being extremely busy, Stephen Chow always finds time to fiddle with something that looks like a phone in his hand. It turns out that this is Stephen Chow's secret weapon: a wireless handheld monitor. No wonder Stephen Chow often focuses intently on it; he is actually keeping track of the dynamics on the set at all times.

Props Resemble Spaceships

The imaginative Stephen Chow brings mysterious props into "Changjiang 7". This flying saucer is no different from the ones we imagine, except its size is not too large - it's equivalent to a raised disc about 5 meters in diameter, emitting a silvery aluminum color - in fact, we feel that apart from its shape, it is very similar to the "Shenzhou" spacecraft, whether in size or in its charming color. Stephen Chow chooses to shoot this stunning takeoff in a timber warehouse, with two cranes controlling daylight-like lights, while another relatively smaller one is responsible for lifting the flying saucer. After a deafening roar of engines, the flying saucer lifts off the ground and begins to "fly".
