After watching the premiere of the mainland version of "Lust, Caution", my overall feeling is that it's heavy. There's not a single climax in the entire film. The only exception is when Mr. Yi is slightly restless while listening to Wang Jiazhi singing "Shanghai Love Song". Ang Lee has interpreted another realm of Eileen Chang's "Lust, Caution" in his own way, and also made "Lust, Caution" more admired. Just like the movie and the novel, they both reflect ten secret messages of lovemaking without showing any sexual scenes.
