Plot Introduction

The story is set against the backdrop of the prosperous Tang Dynasty when people lived in wealth and the sex trade was flourishing. As a result, brothels competed fiercely for survival and came up with various unique strategies. Among them, the famous "Taste of Pleasure Brothel" was run by Miss Wu (Wong Man-ho), who collaborated with carpenter Master Gang (Zheng Zeshi) to create distinctive sexual devices and pleasure rooms, earning them great renown. Over time, Master Gang had developed feelings for Miss Wu, but she remained distant from him. Gang's apprentice, Ah Yi (Liu Dezhi), grew up working in the brothel. He was righteous and felt sympathy for Xiaojing (Cheng Xueyan), a young prostitute forced into the Taste of Pleasure Brothel and subjected to cruel torture by Miss Wu. He longed to rescue Xiaojing, but he lacked the power to do so. Unexpectedly, during one incident, he accidentally took Xiaojing's virginity from a customer, leading her to mistakenly believe that Yi was a despicable man taking advantage of her. Meanwhile, a notorious flower thief (Michael Hui) emerged in the city, targeting prostitutes in brothels. Unfortunately, Xiaojing became one of his victims.
