This story continues from the previous episode: after the plan of the fake Empress to sneak into the palace and seize the throne fails, she escapes back to the Divine Dragon Sect to confess her sins to the Sect Leader. Later, the Sect Leader reveals that his days are numbered and orders the fake Empress to reveal herself as the Dragon Emperor, taking over the position of the Divine Dragon Sect Leader, and assisting Pingxi King Wu Sangui in ascending the throne. Inside the palace, Emperor Kangxi holds a banquet to entertain the Pingxi Prince. Unexpectedly, it is discovered that Wei Xiaobao is a boy from the Lichun Brothel. Subsequently, the Emperor announces the marriage of his sister Princess Jianning to Wu Yingxiong, ordering Xiaobao and other ministers to escort the princess on her journey. At the inn, Duolong wails that Xiaobao has been treacherously killed by villains, but then Xiaobao appears, scaring Duolong pale. He forces Duolong to go out onto the street shouting "Overthrow the Qing and Restore the Ming" to find the rebel Chen Jinnan. However, the two Emperors had planned for Duolong to intrude into the Pingxi Wang's mansion and meet Wu Sangui, mistaking him for Chen Jinnan, shouting slogans, and getting beaten up by the mansion’s many guards. When everyone tries to escape on horseback, they are pursued and surrounded by the Emperor and a large number of soldiers. In the end, considering their past friendship and Princess Jianning, Emperor Kangxi spares everyone.
