The Bible
Whether or not it is a bandwagon effect of *The Da Vinci Code*, the former *Washington Post* and *Wall Street Journal* reporter Michael Drosnin wrote a best-selling book series called *The Bible Code*, which claimed that an Israeli scientist had discovered ancient codes in the Bible, and these were confirmed by cryptanalysts from the U.S. National Security Agency. After deciphering these codes, people found that these 3000-year-old codes actually predicted historical events such as President Obama's election, Rabin's assassination, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Although most people regard this as a legendary novel, the author firmly believes it to be true. His supporters even think that this discovery fully deserves the "Nobel Peace Prize."
The *Bible Code* series has three parts, with the latter two titled *The Countdown* (*Bible Code II: The Countdown*) and *Saving the World* (*Bible Code III: Saving the World*). They narrate the end of the world foretold by the "codes in the Bible" and how humanity can prevent the apocalypse.
Currently, Relativity Media has already acquired the film rights for this book, preparing to adapt it into a sci-fi blockbuster for release in 2012.
