**Introduction to "Knight and Day"**
Secret agent Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) turns June's (Cameron Diaz) ordinary life upside down, but June also enters Roy's world. When June boards a flight in Wichita, Kansas, she starts chatting casually with the charming man sitting next to her, Roy. Soon after, everything changes dramatically as the plane crashes into a cornfield, killing all passengers and crew except for them, all seemingly because of a battery.
Before June can catch her breath, she finds herself being hunted and must travel across the globe. She narrowly escapes gunfire in Boston, jumps off a rooftop in Austria, and ends up in a bullfighting ring in Seville, Spain. All of this is tied to the seemingly unstable yet incredibly charming agent Roy. These two people from completely different worlds are forced to confront something they've both long avoided—trust. After building trust, they confront the real villain who wants to sell the battery. Roy gives the battery to the bad guy to save Simon (a young man who invented the battery). As the villain prepares to kill Simon with a gun, Roy takes the bullet for Simon. During his escape by plane, the faulty battery explodes, causing the plane to crash. However, Roy survives after being rescued. His superior plans to send Roy away, not wanting him to have contact with June. But June secretly rescues Roy, and together they head to a beautiful island where they plan to spend the rest of their lives together.
