Plot Introduction:

"Sunny Days" is a modern situational comedy launched by Hong Kong TVB in 2010. Filming began in May 2010, starring Sandra Lee, Evonne Liu, and Matthew Leung. The producer is Xu Yusan. This series is a sister production to "Colleagues Are Family" and "Beating Around the Bush," reusing most of the cast from these two shows.

The belief in life must be as firm as gold and diamonds to face various challenges. One must have love, understand love, and dare to love for a fulfilling life. There are no myths in this world; only through effort and perseverance do we have the chance to overcome fate.

"Dragon Happiness" is a jewelry store under the local prestigious "Stone Gander Group." Under the leadership of the boss lady Ming Xin'an, it has gone through various storms such as the 1997 handover, the Asian financial crisis, SARS, and the financial tsunami, evolving from near closure to becoming one of the top jewelry brands. The astute Xin is deeply respected by the store employees and peers, envied by many. Despite the apparent success, her career and family each have their own hidden concerns, but the optimistic she faces them positively, full of positive energy.

Xin's deceased husband was Shi Youxin, the second son of the Shi family of the "Stone Gander Group," but Xin passed away in 1995, leaving behind Xin and his daughter Shi Ke'er from his first wife Lin Hui, who was five years old at the time. Shi Youwei, the patriarch of the Shi family and chairman of the Stone Gander Group, looked down on his daughter-in-law Xin due to her humble origins, while his wife Gao Yanrong outwardly treated Xin nicely. Under the arrangement of Mrs. Shi, the family group handed over a small traditional gold shop called "Dragon Happiness" to Xin to manage and transferred nearly half of the shares of "Dragon Happiness" to Xin as her future livelihood.

Today, under Xin's careful management, with the help of her capable assistant, jewelry designer Ma Haowen, and Jing Qiao, not only has the business been put on track, but there has also been annual profit growth, making it more promising than the declining "Stone Gander Group." How could the Shi family let go of this lucrative opportunity? Taking advantage of the retirement of the gold-beating masters at "Dragon Happiness," Shi Youwei "parachuted" his cousin Zhu Bao to serve as a special business advisor and head of the gold-beating department. Xin saw this as a long-term strategy by her in-laws to regain control of "Dragon Happiness."

Surrounded by enemies, dark clouds gather into storms.

Zhu Bao’s strong style clashes with Ming Naqiang, the accounting director of "Dragon Happiness" and Xin's younger uncle. Caught between her in-laws' "enforcer" and her own elder, Xin finds herself in a difficult position! To make matters worse, the originally harmonious and stable ecosystem of "Dragon Happiness" changes dramatically due to the marital crisis between the chief designer Ma Haowen and his wife Jing Qiao, both designers at the company!

Jing Qiao always prioritized being a wife over work, revolving around her husband Ma Haowen. When she discovers that her husband has fled with Xin's secretary Feng Xiu'na, she becomes even more enraged when she learns that Xin knew about their affair from the beginning but did not inform her!

Although Xin explains to Qiao that she had already taken steps to stop the affair and concealed it from Qiao to avoid unnecessary complications, Qiao feels that Xin deprived her of the chance to save her marriage. In a difficult situation, Xin has no choice but to agree to Qiao's promotion demands despite her hostility.

Xin faces Qiao, who appears to be an unremarkable designer, burdened with a sense of guilt toward her; coupled with a "special envoy" Bao sent by her in-laws and a well-meaning but troublemaking younger uncle Qiang. These three forces leave Xin surrounded by enemies, potentially becoming a "governance crisis" for "Dragon Happiness".

"Dragon Happiness" may have underlying tensions, but the home, which should be a haven, doesn't seem peaceful either.

Family Haven, Tea Cups Cause Storms

Initially, to ensure that the couple Wen and Qiao could focus on working for the company without worry, Xin generously lent them a large sum of money as a down payment to buy a unit under her name, located on the same floor as her residence, allowing them to repay it interest-free monthly. After Wen's elopement, Qiao shoulders the responsibility of paying the mortgage alone. Professionally, Qiao uses semi-threatening tactics to secure the new position of "Chief Designer," temporarily relieving some living pressure, but Qiao does not see this as Xin's kindness but rather as a rightful "compensation."

Subjectively, Qiao believes that having to face an employer involved in causing her divorce every day at work is a punishment. For Xin, dealing with this "thorn in the side" at work and tolerating cold remarks from next door after returning home is unbearable. Both women know this is a life challenge they must overcome!

On the floor where Xin and Qiao reside, there is another smaller unit owned by Xin, reserved for her younger brother Ming Shian.

Shi is Xin's proud relative and the only emotional support and comfort in her heart. Shi has just returned from Canada and works as a plastic surgeon in a large medical beauty chain group. Shi deals with women all day and understands their mentality thoroughly. His confident and humorous style makes him very popular among women, but approaching forty, he remains single, which worries Xin; and Shi disapproves of Qiao's frequent "attacks" and "confrontations" against Xin, often retaliating verbally, leading to verbal sparring akin to quarrelsome lovers, much to Xin's amusement and frustration!

Moreover, Xin must also deal with her stepdaughter Shi Ke'er, born from her late husband's previous marriage. When Shi Youxin passed away, Er was only five years old and couldn't comprehend the divorce and remarriage. Through gossip from older relatives of the Shi family, Er grew up firmly believing that Xin was the culprit responsible for destroying her parents' relationship. After her father's death, Er was sent abroad to study, growing up independently without much family affection, developing a rebellious personality. Upon returning to Hong Kong, she became involved in environmental social movements, often using radical means to protest and vent dissatisfaction, getting into legal trouble!

The Shi family, which values its reputation, is extremely dissatisfied with this second-generation behavior and even attempts to abandon Er. Xin, mindful that Er is her late husband's only bloodline, takes the initiative to take over her education, arranging for her to work in the store, bringing plenty of trouble to "Dragon Happiness" and adding waves to her otherwise peaceful family life.

Besides the various issues faced by Xin's family, the group of "Dragon Happiness" employees surrounding Xin—intellectually disabled administrative assistant Guo Weilong, goldsmith Tang Daxiong who walks with a limp, and the master-apprentice duo of restaurant "Morning Eight Evening Nine" owner Gou Wenhǔ and apprentice Xian Pu—each face different problems...

Life has its ups and downs, fortune and misfortune are unpredictable, and everyone encounters setbacks and difficulties differently. Success or failure often depends on attitude, whether in life or work.
