Plot: The Wang family is a household full of artistic atmosphere. The father is the director of an art gallery, the elder daughter Lüping is an excellent ballet dancer, the mother is a strong-willed housewife, and the younger daughter Zile is an ordinary girl who loves to daydream. The Wangs and the Chus are families that have been friends for generations. The Chu family has two sons; the elder Chu Lian is an outstanding engineer, also seen as the best prospective son-in-law by the Wang family. Unfortunately for them, both Wang sisters fall in love with Chu Lian. Like waves, one event after another occurs between the Wang and Chu families, producing love, hate, passion, and obsession between these two generations, evoking boundless sighs and emotions.
