The first generation of artificial intelligence robots, code-named K-1, was secretly developed by the Tianan Scientific Research Bureau and made its debut with the aim of replacing police in carrying out dangerous missions to ensure the safety of law enforcement personnel. To test its performance, Director Lin Xiang decided to send it to a remote town for an internship, under the secret supervision of the local police captain Xu Dachun.
K-1 joined the police station as "Deming" and immediately showed his prowess, becoming a master detective. Due to having perfect social programs within him, Deming quickly became a popular idol in the small town, and policewoman Su Mei also secretly admired him, leaving Dachun, who had always harbored feelings for Su Mei, quite disheartened. Dachun looked down on Deming for just being a machine, leading to overt and covert competition between the two, resulting in countless jokes.
